Why Student Counselling Is in High Demand

The demand for trained student counsellors has grown rapidly in recent years.
Education boards such as CBSE, ICSE, and several State Boards now mandate the presence of counsellors on school premises during working hours.

Colleges and universities including premier institutions also actively employ counsellors to support students’ academic performance, emotional well-being, and career decisions.

This diploma prepares you to meet that demand with real-world skills, confidence, and practical exposure.

Course objective

To equip participants with the practical knowledge and counselling skills required to work effectively with students in school, college, and institutional settings.
This course also prepares participants who wish to practice independently with children and adolescents.

The focus of the diploma is less on theory and more on real-life counselling situations, helping participants confidently handle emotional, behavioural, academic, and developmental issues that student counsellors face on a daily basis.

Admission Criteria

The course is conducted in English, therefore a working knowledge of English is required.
Anyone 18 years and above can enrol in the course.

Course Duration

Participants will be required to:

  • Complete structured assignments linked to each module

  • Submit counselling reports based on supervised sessions

  • Participate actively in role plays, demo counselling, and classroom discussions
