As the focus of the diploma is on practical counselling skills, evaluation is entirely assignment based.
Participants will be required to:

This is a 6-month diploma programme conducted once a week through live online classes, with each session lasting 2 hours. The course is interactive and practice-oriented, designed to prepare participants for real-world student counselling.
The programme focuses on practical counselling skills for children and adolescents, addressing emotional, behavioural, academic, and developmental challenges commonly seen in schools and colleges.
Module 1: Foundational Understanding & Emotional Intelligence
Understanding emotions, self-awareness, emotional regulation, and the role of a student counsellor.
Module 2: Skills of Counselling
Rapport building, listening skills, empathy, confidentiality, non-judgmental approach, and counselling process.
Module 3: Child Development & Growth
Developmental stages, attachment, safety and hygiene, body image, and adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
Module 4: Addressing Common Student Issues
Bullying and cyberbullying, academic performance, behaviour modification, self-esteem, depression, group counselling, career guidance, play and art therapy, counselling parents and teachers.
Module 5: Counselling Practicals
Demo counselling, role plays, rapport building with children, and interaction with practising school and college counsellors.
